My weekly escape place for my ‘me-time’ is a Kalina Campus area of the University of Mumbai. I have been visiting this place since 2015 (had a gap of two years due to the Pandemic). This place stimulates my inner self and brings forth creativity and enthusiasm in me. Here, I feel alone and away from chaos. Finding your escape place helps you to pursue your deeper questions and evoke curiosity in you. I know the importance of it because this simple act of visiting my place of escape helped me to finish writing three of my books and solved many of my life’s questions. Right now I am writing my fourth and fifth books simultaneously. I am on the way to create abundance of work around my passion due to this weekly ritual. Let’s discuss the article “find your escape place” in more detail below.
Your mind is designed in such a way that it associates purpose with the place. For example, it associates the bed for sleeping purpose, study corner for learning purposes, TV room for entertainment purpose, etc. In the same way, you can train your mind to associate your place of escape with the purpose of creating ideas. You win the game because you use the law of your mind in your favour.
How to Find Your Place of Escape?
The place of escape doesn’t have to be a dedicated, specially equipped room in your home. You may find a park, coffee/tea shop, or a bench in a non-traffic corner. If possible, join the nearest public library. Your purpose in assigning it is to turn on your mind for ideas when you are around it. The rituals of visiting this place will help you to give a lot of creativity to your life’s work.
Take a weekly or monthly break for your ‘me-time’ and visit your place of escape. It will be like you meeting with your inner self who in turn will give ideas to you.
Remember you can change the world through ideas. Thus, find your escape place for a better world.
